Description of Steering and Suspension System

In your vehicle, the steering and suspension system is responsible for maintaining comfortable riding conditions and driving efficiency. The steering and suspension system also allows drivers to remain still in charge of their cars. The suspension system transforms forward energy generated by road bumps into vertical energy that travels up into the frame of the vehicle. Components of the suspension system, such as coil springs and shock absorbers, help dampen the effect of this force on the ground. Although the individual components that compose each suspension system can differ, all components of the suspension system can weaken over time due to stress applied during normal driving conditions.
